Aibo must be a happy robodog! If you have finally taught your robo-pet to piss, it is time to take it to the next level: make him piss on a fellow robo-tree while the tree visually senses and reacts through 360°...sounds fun doesn’t it?
Well sadly, this is the only use I can think of BREEZE: the robotic Japanese Maple tree other than camouflaging it like cannabis and training it to choke the cops who come for my crop. However, to my utter disgust and disappointment all that this robo-tree can do is flex its muscle type Nitinol wires allowing her to reach out to you and others whenever you are near.
Still hoping that DARPA would advance the technology to make this art project do something of use and put the idiom ‘talking trees’ to rest for good. Anyways the movement by BREEZE is worth a watch so do check out the animation.
