Banryu means a guard dragon and this is what this robot is intended to do.
Banryu has been developed by tmsuk and Sanyo Electric and can do each and every thing that a human guard can, except sleeping in working hours.
The robot can keep a look-out and can also sniff the air. If it detects motion or smell of burning objects then it can call you up on your cell phone and let you know of the scenario.
It can also chase extremely slow burglars, moving at speeds of up to fifteen meters per second.
