Shadow Robot Company has designed a shadow robot hand, which has open program code under GPL and hence having unlimited uses. However, the hand bears weird looks but still it is so well designed that it can pick up small coins or even hold a tomato delicately. This enormous functional capability is a gift for the disabled. It has 36 muscles, which uses compressed air making it extremely light to be used in delicate situations. The air reservoir is refilled by a foot pump to the very high-tech named ‘fizzy drinks container’ bottle. It is possible that in coming future all human body parts will be completely replaceable with these hi tech robot parts.
