The latest technology in medical science has unveiled some crawling tiny robots that tour our bodies and some of them are very painful.

However, you will not hate this one! A team headed by Moshe Shoham of Haifa Technion is developing some smoother riding robots, which can cruise along the spinal canal without hurting the patients much.

The Robot is named SpineAssist and is nothing but low-powered microbot that carry a micro camera for live video of the patients’ internal structure. The Robots are developed to help the surgeons in performing delicate surgeries in the most delicate part of the human body.

The propulsion system of this Robot has already been developed and it has two actuators and swimming tails so that the robot can easily surf around in the ocean of Spinal Fluid.

The researchers are still working on decreasing the size of the Microbot and increasing its payload capacity so that it is appropriate for a surgery.
